Reviewer Guidelines
Thank you for your essential contribution to Digital Evolution Journal. Your expertise ensures the quality and integrity of our publications. These guidelines will help you conduct a thorough and constructive peer review.
The Review Process
Our journal uses a double-blind, 10-reviewer system to ensure impartiality. Neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities. The process is as follows:
1. Invitation
You will receive an invitation containing the abstract to check alignment with your expertise.
2. Acceptance
Accept only if you can complete the review within the specified 21-day timeline.
3. Review
Submit your assessment scores and comments through the online reviewer dashboard portal.
4. Decision
The handling editor will issue a final decision based on consensus across all 10 reviewers.
Evaluation Criteria
- ✦ Originality and Novelty: Does it present new findings or a novel approach? Does it advance current knowledge?
- ✦ Methodology and Technical Soundness: Is the approach robust, appropriate, and scientifically rigorous?
- ✦ Clarity and Presentation: Is the paper well-structured and written clearly? Are equations/figures clear?
- ✦ Impact and Relevance: Does the work align with the scope and have real-world implications?
- ✦ Literature Review: Does the manuscript accurately cite previous relevant studies in the field?
Structuring Your Review
1. Comments to the Editor: Provide confidential feedback, including any warnings about ethical issues (plagiarism, misconduct).
2. Comments to the Author: Constructive, numbered comments dividing major and minor revisions to help authors refine their manuscript drafts.
Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest
Manuscripts are confidential documents. Do not share them or discuss their content. If you have a potential conflict of interest (e.g. recent collaboration, direct competition), please decline the review. Read our complete Reviewer Ethics Guide.
